Formally Doboy, the business was established in the early 1870s when a flour milling business set up shop on the banks of the Willow River in New Richmond. In the 1930s, the facility began producing and selling puffed wheat and rice cereal as Doughboy. As Doboy Inc., the company produced its first band sealer in 1946, a success that allowed Doboy to gain a strong foothold in the packaging machinery business. Doboy Packaging was purchased by SIG (Swiss Industrial Group) in the late 1980’s and in 2004, Doboy Packaging was purchased by Bosch Packaging. Bosch Packaging Technology Inc., then became Syntegon Packaging Technology, LLC in 2020.

1964
Name Changed to Doboy

In the fall of 1964, the spelling of the company name is changed from Doughboy to Doboy for the international division. Currently Syntegon Packaging Technolgy LLC

Doughboy H-400: First Horizontal Flow Wrapper

The first horizontal wrapper, the H-400, was marked in 1964 and was using a base machine from Otem, Located in Milan, Italy.

First Sealer

As Doboy Inc., the company produced its first band sealer in 1946, a success that allowed Doboy to gain a strong foothold in the packaging machinery business.
